Jeff Bullock, CPA - Director of Operations
Every since I can remember, I have always been interested in understanding how businesses run and what makes them successful. This desire led me to pursue an undergraduate and graduate degree in Accounting. After graduating from Brigham Young University with my Master of Accountancy degree I began my career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Denver Colorado. Although enjoyable, things got a little stale while working on a single line of a tax return for months at a time. This is when I decided to begin my own firm that focused on small business and individuals tax and accounting needs. Build a firm that serviced all of the back office needs of a business so that the business owner could focus on growing the business and thus Elevation Tax was born.
When I'm not busy assisting clients growing their business I enjoy spending time with my wife and four young kids. I also enjoy anything outside and as of late have begun participating in triathlons. Always looking for a challenge, I have competed in a number of full Ironman and half Ironman distance triathlons. I have also run over ten marathons including the Boston Marathon two times.
James Setterberg, CPA - Director of Tax
Ever since I was a kid I knew I wanted to work with numbers. It wasn't until college that I decided that taxes is where I wanted to focus my career. I loved the idea of adding value to a client's bottom line by helping them to implement strategies that result in tax savings.
I graduated with my undergraduate degree in accounting from Brigham Young University in 2010 and received my master's degree in taxation from Weber State University in 2014. I have been a licensed CPA since May 2015.
I have been married to my beautiful wife, Ashley, since October 2010 and we have been blessed with two great kids (Daxton and Kenley). When I am not in the office, I like to spend my time with my family and do really any type of recreational sport. I also love watching my Cougars compete in football and basketball!
Nick Iverson, EA - Director of Accounting
I have been working in the field of tax and accounting since the beginning of 2012. Before entering the field of accounting, I worked in the financial field with a registered representative license. I studied Business and Accounting, earning an Associate's Degree in each field from the LDS Business College and Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Utah.
I currently practice tax accounting as an IRS Enrolled Agent. Outside of work, I enjoy the Marvel Universe, I'm a die-hard Cincinnati Bengals fan, and love my family, including my two giant black Newfoundlands.
Gabe Jacobo - Bookkeeping Specialist
I am an accountant with Elevation Tax Group from Albuquerque, New Mexico. At Elevation Tax I wear many hats. I am a bookkeeper, fulfillment specialist, and entity specialist.
I am an avid Tennessee Titans fan and have traveled to Cincinnati and San Diego to see them play. I enjoy backpacking in Southern Utah and snowboarding in Northern Utah during the winter. I am currently going part time to Salt Lake Community College for my associates in Accounting. I have worked with Elevation Tax for going on three years and I am looking forward to continuing my career with this great company.
Scott Petty - Customer Care
My name is Scott Petty, and other than living in Denver for a couple of years, I have lived in the Salt Lake Valley my entire life. I recently received my business Associates degree from the Salt Lake Community College, and I am currently attending WGU for my bachelors of science in Accounting.
We are spoiled by the amazing scenery here in Utah and I like getting out and having fun in the mountains. I am a fan of college football and basketball because of the fun traditions around the country. Watching BYU games on TV with my grandpa when I am down in Provo is something I love to do, and I can generally be entertained any other sporting event if it happens to be on TV.
